The Children and Youth
Center
Welcome to the Unitarian Church of
Barnstable's Religious Education Program. We have created an exciting
path of learning for children of all ages. Sunday mornings,
intergenerational events, field trips and family nights have been woven
together to provide lots of diverse opportunities for spiritual growth,
and building friendships and community. It is our hope that this R.E.
program will be fun and meaningful for each child and it is our goal to
provide our children with a safe and sacred place to learn, share and
grow.
We believe in CELEBRATING AND CARING
FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH. All children
begin each Sunday in the sanctuary with
their families or guardian. They participate
in the first 15 minutes of the worship
service, which includes a specific time
for children called 'The child within
us all'. Afterward they proceed to the
children's center for the rest of their
program. Sunday service begins at 10:30
and the children's program ends at 11:50.
There is also a YRUU (Young Religious
Unitarian Universalists) program for youth in Grades 9-12 on Sunday
evenings at 6:30 downstairs in Warren Hall.
Please feel free to visit our
children's center or call Jessica Holcomb (508-362-6371) for further
information about registering your child.
